Welcome to King of Grace’s Children’s Church
We believe that God is the Father to the fatherless (Ps. 68:5) who cares for our children even more than we do (Ps. 27:10). In fact, Jesus beckoned little children to come to him, saying that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them (Mt. 19:13-15).
For this reason, on Sunday mornings, we have fun and exciting kid-targeted Sunday School for 1st to 6th grade kids. Sunday School is a safe and loving environment where we teach the children about God and his truths revealed in the Bible, and model for them a Christ-centered and Holy Spirit-empowered life. We also host a variety of special children’s events during the year like summer Vacation Bible School. We hope you’ll join us!
Our Sunday School classes are staffed with loving and nurturing volunteers who have been carefully screened and selected to serve our
children. (You can take a look at our Child Protection Policy here.)
At King of Grace Church, we are excited to be using The Gospel Project in our Children’s Ministry. The Gospel Project is a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study that examines how all Scripture gives testimony to Jesus Christ. Over the course of three years, we will journey from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God’s plan of salvation unfolds throughout Scripture and compels us to join the mission of God. Ultimately, the gospel message changes hearts, which can only take place when a child experiences God’s grace in the gospel. Through The Gospel Project, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story of which they are called to be a part —God’s story of redemption.
As resources to serve you and your family, each week kids will complete an activity page and coloring sheet related to the Bible story they have been taught. We encourage you to ask your children about the picture and story, and look up the included Bible references to read and talk about the Bible story with your kids throughout the week. For more weekly resources designed to share and reinforce the Bible story, we recommend purchasing The Gospel Story for Kids Family App (for Apple or Android devices), which gives five days of activities linked to the Bible story, including videos, puzzles, games, memory verses and music (available from www.gospelproject.com/kids).
Finally, each week kids in our Sunday School class will be given a Big Picture Card. This is just another tool to help you review the Bible story with your kids and see the Christ Connection through every story in the Bible.
Sunday School is open for drop-off starting at 9:45AM on Sunday mornings. Parents/guardians may pick up their children immediately following the service at 11:30AM. For those who are unable to drop-off the children at church, we operate a van service with limited seating, call us to sign-up.
